Message from the Friends of the Algona Public Library

The silent auction of the painted chairs was such a FUN fundraiser! The Friends of the Library Board would like to thank all those who painted a chair. Such a talented and creative community we have from elementary age to senior citizens. All the chairs were different and unique. A big thank you to all those who bid on the chairs to make the sale successful as over $1,000 was raised. Thank you to our librarians who were so very helpful in the organization and publicity of the sale.

The Friends also had a successful book sale because of community support in donating books and purchasing books. Friends of the Library are appreciative of the involvement in our projects as we continue to support our library.
