Kossuth County Libraries Went Off the Beaten Path
On June 23, children from Kossuth County built bird houses, learned about feathers, dissected owl pellets, and took a hike to bird watch with binoculars. When the activities were completed, librarians served hot dogs, chips, and cookies to a very hungry group. After the meal, Billie Willie, Kossuth County Naturalist, provided interesting information about snakes.
A special presentation about eagles and their role in the environment concluded the day. Over 150 people attended. The program and activities were planned and sponsored by the twelve Kossuth County Libraries (KCLA).
